How is CloudRetail® different to CloudKitchens®?

CloudKitchens® and CloudRetail® are both solutions offered by Dishmix, but they cater to different needs:

CloudKitchens®: Ideal for restaurants and caterers who need a physical kitchen space for food preparation, catering, and online delivery. They offer ready-to-move-in kitchens with all the essentials to start, allowing you to focus on cooking and fulfilling orders.

CloudRetail®: Perfect for businesses selling packaged goods, frozen items, beverages, and pantry staples. It's a virtual storefront where you can sell online without needing a physical store. CloudRetail provides dedicated storage space and manages order fulfilment for you.


I'm a restaurant or caterer. How can I leverage CloudRetail® as an additional revenue stream?

CloudRetail® can be a great way to generate additional income for restaurants and caterers. You can repurpose your existing menu items. Package your popular sauces, dips, desserts, or even offer meal kits with pre-portioned ingredients. We've seen a number of our kitchen licensees launch packed versions of their product in a Dishmix kitchen.


What products are best suited for CloudRetail®?

Anything that doesn't need to be cooked is generally well suited for instant retail selling. These are some examples of items that sell well:

Dry goods - drinks, cookies, dried pasta kits, coffee, tea, chocolates, crisps, cereal, bottled condiments

Frozen - ice-cream, dumplings, empanadas, pizzas, frozen desserts, ready-meals, pastries


How much stock do I need to provide?

It's helpful to have a rough idea of how many items you plan to sell in a given period. This will help you determine your initial stock level. You can choose to have new stock delivered at whatever frequency works best for you, whether it's weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. Our team can advise you on recommended stock levels based on your product type and sales projections.
